About
Advisors who have done the work
Operating across business services, technology advisory and capital.
The company
Navigate grew from business consulting into a group practice spanning business services, technology advisory and capital.
The firm has a particular interest in food systems, agricultural technology, regional enterprise and natural resource management — sectors where good advisory work creates lasting impact.
Navigate's experience spans professional services, FMCG and retail, food and beverage, sports technology and broadcasting, hardware and software products, international trade, shipping, logistics, FX and capital markets.
Our team
Navigate operates with an internal team supported by a curated network of specialists across technology, engineering, finance, legal and operations.
This model allows us to bring the right expertise to each engagement without the overhead of a large generalist firm.
The team continues to grow across the three practice areas, drawing on specialists with deep sector knowledge in technology, agriculture, capital markets and trade.
How we engage
Retainer
Ongoing advisory on a monthly basis — suited to businesses that need consistent, accessible expertise across strategy, operations or capital.
Project-based
Defined scope, clear deliverables and a fixed timeline — suited to discrete assignments such as a strategic review, capital raise or technology roadmap.
Advisory
Lighter-touch engagement for boards and founders who need reliable access to expertise — available when needed, without a full engagement commitment.
Founder
Wes Lawrence
Founder, Navigate Group
Wes Lawrence is the founder of Navigate Group. Raised on a mixed farm in WA's Great Southern, he developed an early appreciation for practical problem-solving, resourcefulness and making things work — qualities that have shaped his approach across every industry since.
Following study and work across human services, accounting and business consulting, Wes moved into technology — developing and commercialising innovations spanning wearables, sports broadcasting, marine systems and automotive sensor technology. He later founded AxisTech, building electronics, software and data solutions for agriculture in partnership with government, universities, research bodies and agrifood businesses.
Wes brings a systems-driven approach to advisory work, with hands-on experience across technology development, commercialisation, capital raising and corporate structuring. He actively invests in and supports the commercialisation of technologies in circular economy, waste-to-nutrition, MRV and nature-positive agriculture.
